Worth The Read

Zuckerberg has replaced the Metaverse focus with Superintelligence

Has anyone checked on OpenAI’s Sam Altman lately?

The AI and superintelligence race has ramped up in the last few weeks since Mark Zuckerberg announced Meta’s Superintelligence Labs group.

What?

This new group is being led by Chief AI Officer, Alexandr Wang, who, up until recently, was the CEO of Scale AI that worked with Meta rivals like OpenAI and Alphabet.Inc to help them improve the quality of training data for machine learning models.

Zuckerberg is spending big on AI and Superintelligence. As a result, he’s won over former employees of OpenAI, Anthropic and Google by offering them tens of millions of dollars in stock awards.

OpenAI was hit so hard by Meta’s brutal gutting that it led to a week-long shutdown, according to reports.

It doesn’t stop there, it’s also been reported that Zuckerberg is in conversation to acquire companies like Perplexity AI, PlayAI and Runway AI.

What does this mean for creators?

Zuckerberg’s investment in AI and the superintelligence race brings into question what Meta will look like in the next 5-10 years. Will it become an AI company first and a social media platform second?

This also serves as a reminder that your content is being used to train data models, which is why it’s so important to build your own audiences separate from these platforms.

READ: This is the first time I’ve read a breakdown of the path from social media creator to Hollywood-level entertainer/celebrity.

LISTEN: Caleb Ralston has worked with two of the biggest names in the business-creator genre, and that’s Gary Vee and Alex Hormozi. He’s now venturing off on his own and sharing knowledge that others would demand thousands for.

Caleb appeared as a guest on the 505 Podcast and explained what you need to be doing to set your brand apart from the noise.

WATCH: Keeping on the Caleb Ralston train, he dropped this video titled ‘Everything I Know About Creative Leadership’. For too long, we’ve tried to force the rigid corporate model onto people who require a different type of feedback to be effective and create content that will move the dial.
