YouTube Wants To Boost Your Earnings đź‘€

Hey Creators,

I want to share something that’s saved my ass a few times when I’ve been unable to think of what to post. It’s so simple, but people rarely make use of it because we feel like we have to come up with something new every time.

We all know how important it is to create content consistently, but here's a unique twist: consider leveraging the power of reiteration.

Instead of constantly creating new content, revisit your most successful pieces. Whether it's a blog post, a video, or a social media update, give it a fresh spin. You can update the information, add new insights, or repurpose it in a different format. Not only does this save time, but it also reinforces your message, strengthens your brand identity, and extends the lifespan of your content.

By strategically reiterating your best-performing content, you engage your existing audience and attract new followers who may have missed it the first time around.

Dude Perfect, a YouTube creator company, has received a $100 million plus capital infusion. The five-member comedy and sports channel plans to use this to expand its reach beyond online videos, including a theme park announced in 2022. They’ll also be exploring new opportunities, such as movies and product lines that require upfront capital. These ambitious plans are on trend with a growing number of creatorpreneurs seeking to grow the business beyond themselves.

Audiences are spending more time watching YouTube on their TVs than on Netflix, according to Bloomberg. From 2021 to now, YouTube's share of TV viewing has increased from 5-6% to 9%.

Canva makes its largest-ever acquisition to date. In a deal that was likely over $1 billion, Canva has secured Serif, a professional UK design software company, positioning the Aussie tech company as a rival to Adobe ahead of its anticipated public offering. Serif's Affinity line, challenging Adobe's tools, has driven rapid growth since its inception in 1987, notably with ÂŁ31 million ($60 million) revenue in 2022. Canva's COO, Cliff Obrecht, lauds Affinity's quality and speed, emphasising its unmatched position. The swift deal integrates Serif's 90-strong team into Canva, maintaining operations in Nottingham. The acquisition marks Serif's second sale, with founders set for a significant payout.

KEEP UP WITH SOCIAL MEDIA UPDATES

TikTok

  • TikTok confirmed it’s testing a new photo app, TikTok Notes.

  • The app is considering the use of virtual influencers to compete with human creators for advertising deals. Oh God.

Instagram

  • Instagram's head, Adam Mosseri, confirms something we always knew: followers are less important than Reel views and “Like” counts when judging an account's relevance.

  • Instagram is supposedly testing a new tab called “Mutuals,” which would show shared followers on someone’s profile. This is useful to anyone looking for mutual connections.

Facebook

  • Mark Zuckerberg announced a new fullscreen video player that offers a consistent design and experience for all video lengths, from Reels to longer videos and Live. This is basically in step with every other video-based platform…

YouTube

  • YouTube rolled out some fresh shopping features:

    • Shopping Collections: Creators can now make their own virtual stores.

    • Affiliate Hub: Lists shopping partners, commission rates, promo codes, and lets creators ask for brand samples.

    • Tagging products in multiple videos simultaneously.

    • Integration of Fourthwall as an e-commerce platform. (Fourthwall helps creators launch branded websites for fan support via e-commerce, donations, and memberships with full ownership and control.)

Are you familiar with Naval?

He gained fame primarily through his role as a successful entrepreneur and investor in the tech industry. He also co-founded AngelList, a platform that connects startups with investors, which has become a significant player in the startup ecosystem.

Today, I’m recommending "The Almanack of Naval Ravikant", a free book written by Eric Jorgenson. Naval agreed to write the book only if it was accessible to everyone.

It is a treasure trove of wisdom gleaned from the thoughts and musings of Naval Ravikant. It's like a guidebook filled with practical advice on wealth, happiness, decision-making, and personal growth, all distilled from Ravikant's own experiences and insights. This book is a go-to for anyone looking to gain valuable insights and navigate life's ups and downs with more clarity and purpose. It's concise yet profound, offering nuggets of wisdom that resonate deeply and stick with you long after you've put it down.

You can access the book here

I’d like to take a moment to pay my respects to the victims and others involved on Saturday, 13th April, at Bondi Junction.

Like everyone, I’m shocked by the events but am heartened by the overwhelming support from our Sydney community.

Sending love ❤️
